Folds of Honor Campaign

The Budweiser Fold of Honor campaign was a partnership between the iconic beer brand and the Fold of Honor Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides educational scholarships to the families of fallen and disabled United States service members. Through the campaign, Budweiser aimed to raise awareness and funds for Fold of Honor's noble mission of ensuring no family is left behind on the field of battle.

Crafting Budweiser's Salute to Service

As the Budweiser Fold of Honor campaign was hitting full throttle, the brand's agency Strategic Media handpicked me to take the editor's chair for the initiative's powerful television commercial. The agency felt my editing skills at crafting emotional, cinematic stories from real footage would be a good match for capturing the heart of this campaign honoring American service members and their families. With the serious subject matter, they wanted an editor who could handle it with authenticity and respect.

It was a big opportunity to work on a high-profile ad for a major brand like Budweiser. But more importantly, it was a chance to use my creative talents in service of a really meaningful cause supporting military heroes and their loved ones back home. No overly-dramatized pretense needed - they trusted I could simply tell this important story with skill and care.

Honoring Through Editing

While an exciting career opportunity, I knew the priority was doing justice to the sacrifices of our troops and their families depicted in the spot. My goal was to edit it in a way that felt honest and impactful without being overproduced. Just good, honest editing in support of a great partnership between two well-respected American brands.
